So many people like Paul and Catherine Douy came in our region in the 70’s, young couples who left cities and their comfort to start a new life in the countryside, for growing goats or designing pottery. They often failed...
Married with two kids, Catherine and Paul came to Charenton, a hamlet in Pouilly district first for week ends. When their company cut jobs because of the crisis (and their jobs were concerned) they decided to start a new life in a small farm they bought. They have been working there for more than three years now, working hard and this summer here they are : inn July the first jars of foie gras will be on the market, and all their hope.
